Testa e Cuore is a personal project that explores the constant struggle between reason and emotion in sport. Testa (the head) represents control, strategy, and discipline: that inner voice that analyzes, calculates, and sets limits. Cuore (the heart) symbolizes instinct, passion, and the drive that pushes an athlete to give more, even when the body says stop. Through my photographs, I capture the internal conflict athletes experience before, during, and after competition: moments of doubt and self-control, but also bursts of anger, euphoria, or complete surrender. Beyond action, this project reveals what is not always visible—the silent battle between thinking and feeling, between holding back and letting go. Each image is a portrait of that duality: where discipline clashes with instinct, and where the head and heart face off… or finally align.
